Horicon Learn to Hunt: Industry Professionals Session

Horicon Learn to Hunt educates and mentors about 20 people per year, that have never before duck hunted. In this course, mentees go through: a classroom session, outdoor distance practice, firearms training, and target practice. Following the educational portion, pupils get the chance to hunt Horicon Marsh under the instruction and supervision of an experienced mentor. Students always learn a great deal and leave with smiles and memories that will last them a lifetime.

In this video, Grit documented the classroom portion and then shadowed mentees on two different hunts where they put what they learned into practice. After capturing footage of each step of the process, the clips were compiled into a 60 second recap. This video serves to illustrate what the program looks like when explaining the course to future sponsors, mentors, mentees, donors, and partnering organizations.
